Flex-Ice

Flex-Ice™ is a cooling pad that maintains the quality of temperature-sensitive products during shipment. Its unique cell structure keeps the pads very flexible when frozen and the sheets can be cut to fit any size. Flex-Ice™ performs better than wet ice, dry ice and gel ice and is reusable.

Flex-Ice™ consists of a sheet of durable plastic, super absorbent polymer and a moisture permeable non-woven. It needs to be submersed in water for 20 minutes during which the polymer absorbs water until the cells are full. After 12 hours in the freezer, it is ready for use.

Flex-Ice™ can also be used as a hot pack. It retains heat longer than other products designed to do the same job. Filled sheets of Flex-Ice™ can be heated in the microwave. We have many standard sizes in stock and with our machinery we can produce any form, size, color and printed Flex-Ice pads.

Flex-Ice™ can be used for many purposes:

  • Cooling of agricultural products like fresh fruits and flowers.
  • Temporary cooling of food such as meat and fish.
  • Temperature maintenance of medical products.
  • Keep perishable food such as fish, meat and milk cold while travelling.
